You can view submitted returns on the Returns Summary page – click on ‘Returns>Returns’ in the menu.
The table includes a summary of the information you submitted for each of your returns – status, date, type, reporting period. You can view the details of the return, or request to amend or delete a return by using the 'Action' button:
- View: View a return you have submitted. Note that these returns may not be edited.
- Request to amend: Once a return is lodged it can only be amended by ECSA representatives. If you request an amendment, a pop-up will appear asking you to provide a reason why an amendment has to be performed and a description of exactly what requires modification. Fill this in and click ‘Request to amend’. This will then be sent to ECSA representatives to review. While the request is being processed this return will show as 'Pending' status.
- Request to delete: Once a return is lodged it can only be deleted by ECSA representatives. A pop-up will appear asking you to provide a detailed reason why the deletion is required. Fill this in then click ‘Request to delete’. This will then be sent to ECSA representatives to review. While the request is being processed this return will show as ‘Pending’ status.
Status of returns
'PACA' indicates a submitted return still requires an audit certificate.
'PENDING' Pending returns are those you have submitted, then requested to be amended or deleted by ECSA.
'RFAW' indicates that you have requested an audit waiver which is awaiting action by ECSA.
'RFAD' indicates that you have request an audit deferral which is awaiting action by ECSA.
'REC' indicates no outstanding issues in relation to a submitted return.
