If you consider it impossible to complete a return because you are unable to obtain information required for the return, then you must:
· complete as much of the return as possible,
· tick the check box ‘I would like to submit this form incomplete’ at the bottom of the page, and
· complete the Notice of Inability to Complete Return – please describe what information is missing from the return and explain why you cannot obtain that information.
If you have reasonable grounds to believe that another person (whose name and address you know), can provide the missing information then you must download the Template Schedule and provide the name and address of that person. To upload the completed Schedule to the portal, click the ‘Attach Schedule’ button and browse for the document.
Note: the Notice of Inability to Complete Return and Schedule will be visible to the public.
